I'm doing some research on filmmaking and wondered if anyone could direct me to a website or books they might know would be helpful.

Specifically, what kind of cameras (model types) do filmmakers use, maybe a list of some of the technical jargon and camera and editing techniques. Thanks.

i don't know where you should go to get some ideas for cameras and so on, but i'll bet they're pretty expensive

Yeah, I think it was during that brief period when most of us felt we should actually discuss things from the horror world. So we made a thread and posted shit like weird news stories, discussions on computer games, etc. Stuff like that. Probably the only time Lucius appreciated us.

Oh yeah, and on topic I meant to say that although I have the vaguest of vague interests in film-making (I made a short film, remember?) but am at exactly the same point as you and not sure I know anything that would be any help to you... considering I shot the whole thing on my sony handi-cam! Pretty sure that's not industry-standard.
